STARWALKER Sh A
Starwalker ShA was a noble, personable Shagya-Arabian stallion who stood 16.1 hands. Bred by the Stelli Family of Quebec, his sire and dam were both imported from Switzerland. Starwalker did not get the chance to have a performance career due to traumatic injuries sustained to his knees as a yearling. What he lacked in the show ring he has made up for as a prolific sire of Shagya-Arabians and crosses. An impressive example of the Gazal type, Starwalker brings refinement without sacrificing height to heavier mares. Moreover, his character and temperament were second to none: Star, as he was known, was extremely friendly, easy to handle and loved people.
Starwalker has a solid, high-percentage Shagyas-Arabian pedigree with only one purebred Arabian in the fourth generation. Starwalker’s sire is the magnificent *Amurath Samurai, licensed and 100-day performance tested in Germany prior to his exportation to Switzerland then Canada. His paternal grandsire, Navarra, is well known to Shagya-Arabian enthusiasts as the most successful Gazal-lined stallion in Germany. Starwalker’s dam, *Kornelia, was bred by the prolific Ulle Nyegaard in Denmark.
