Hirentanz was imported to the USA in November of 2019 after retiring 100% sound from Grand Prix jumping / International “S” level at 16 years old.  He was the winner of the multiple Grand Prix competitions in Germany and a Bundesturnier Champion multiple times.  Was approved in Neumunster as a Premium stallion and has since earned the prestigious Elite Hengste designation by the Trakehner Verband in Germany.  He is the first Trakehner stallion to be approved by the Holsteiner Verband in 40 years!

 

Hirtentanz is the sire of 10 approved sons of which 5 were Premium and one a Reserve Champion in Neumunster.  He also sired 10 Premium daughters in Germany and 4 premium daughters in America.  he is the ONLY Trakehner sire with positive breeding values in jumping, dressage, eventing and driving.  Hirtentanz has produced international offspring in all three disciplines.  His sire Axis TSF was in the Olympics in Dressage for Finland and was ranked 6th in the world in 2015.  This amazing black stallion bred the most Trakehner mares in 2019 over all the other stallions.

Appearing for the first time in the list of stallions with above average breeding values or dressage this year is the sire Hirtentanz with extraordinary values derived from show results who now belongs to quite a special group of stallions that deserve explicit mention at this point, the “riding horse producers”.  With four positive breeding values he can now be included in the group of definite dual progenitors that are proven in competition. Germany has a total of 4,735 breeding stallions for which there is at least one published breeding value.  Only 73 of them, precisely 1.5% of all German sires have four positive breeding values.  This once more clearly emphasizes his significance and dominance in producing riding horses.  For years Hirtentanz has been the Trakehner sire who has the most successful get that that are successful up to the top level in almost all disciplines of equestrian sport.
